YouTube to welcome original content

Google is pouring out money to redevelop its popular user-video website YouTube, and pretty soon, it will introduce up to 20 premium channels that offer 5-10 hours of original programming a week. It will spend as much as $100 million dollars to develop content available only on YouTube. These online channels would work almost like television, except you could watch any program at any time, and the program is speculated to arrive by the end of this year.
All of this comes after another incredible growth of YouTube during 2010, and the amount of content watched per day is rising at an increasing rate.
