Post-PC Era coming?

As Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, said, the 'post PC-era' is coming, and maybe a lot faster than we think.
For quarter one of 2011, PC sales are looking down for the first time in two years, ending the steady climb after the recession. This totaled to 80,600,000 PC's sold in the first quarter, but nearly all companies lost growth they had continually received. HP down 2.8%, Acer 15.8%, and Dell down 2.8% worldwide. Acer, in America, was down 42% since last quarter.
This brings us to the question of: If users aren't buying PC's, what are they buying? Tablets. The iPad and its competitors have exploded in sales recently, with their growing battery life, compatibility, and becoming closer to having the power of a desktop PC. Their gain makes up completely for the loss of PC sales, and many are finding that they used their PC for basing browsing, editing, and playing that can all be done on the tablet PC. For those Windows lovers, the new HP Slate tablet computer with Windows 7 has complete compatibility in a small, powerful tablet package.
